Maria attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998 with a Preschool -Third Grade teaching Credential. Maria holds an Early Childhood Site Supervisor Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. On May 8, 2023, Maria was elected by The California Early Childhood Mentor Program to be a Mentor Teacher. This is a huge accomplishment as the application process is very rigorous. Maria was observed by two people from the Selection Committee who recommended that she be accepted into the program.

LCC Preschool is so proud of Maria for this outstanding achievement. As a Mentor Teacher, early childhood students from local colleges will be placed with her in the classroom to do their student teaching under her supervision and guidance. Most of them attend Saddleback College as we are a partner school with
Saddleback but they could come from any local college. This is a benefit to our Pre-K class as they have another adult in the classroom.

Maria has four children and joined our team at LCC Preschool in 2021. In her spare time she loves camping, snowboarding, photography and gardening. Maria prays that her students will love learning, model the Fruit of the Spirit, and remember to lean on God as they grow into the path He has created for them.
