We at Lutheran Church of the Cross Ministries (LCOTC), are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to lcotc.org/ and lccpreschool.org. This Privacy Policy governs our data collection, processing, and usage practices. By using our websites or submission of forms or opting in, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the data practices described in this Privacy Policy, you should not use our websites or submission of forms or opt-in for our emails

2. Information We Collect

2.1. When You Visit our Website

You are free to explore our websites without providing any information about yourself. When you visit our websites or submit a form, we request that you provide Personal Information about yourself and we collect navigational information.

2.2. “Personal Information”

This refers to any information that you voluntarily submit to us and that identifies you personally, including contact information, such as your name, e-mail address, company name, address, phone number, and other information about yourself and or your business. Personal Information can also include information about any transactions, both free and paid, that you enter into on our websites, and information about you that is available on the internet, such as from Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google, or publicly available information that we acquire from service providers.

2.3. “Navigational Information”

This refers to information about your computer and your visits to this website such as your IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral source, the length of visit and pages viewed. Please see section 3.4 Use of Navigational Information section below.

2.4. Online Giving and Payment Information

We use a third party company EasyTithe to process all of our financial transaction online. All financial transaction are not conducted on our websites but are transferred to the digital property of EasyTithe. Here is the Data privacy statement from EasyTithe.

Privacy

Users’ privacy is very important to EasyTithe. EasyTithe is committed to safeguarding the information Users entrust to EasyTithe. This Web site is not directed at children under 13 years of age.

The Information We Collect

EasyTithe may collect personally identifiable information from Users in a variety of ways, including through online forms for ordering products and services, and other instances where Users are invited to volunteer such information. EasyTithe may also collect information about how Users use our Web site, for example, by tracking the number of unique views received by the pages of the Web site, the type of computer used, or the domains from which Users originate. We may use “cookies” to track how Users use our Web site. A cookie is a piece of software that a Web server can store on the Users’ PC and use to identify the User should they visit the Web site again. EasyTithe may use personally identifiable information collected through our Web site to contact Users regarding products and services offered by EasyTithe and its trusted affiliates, independent contractors and business partners, and otherwise to enhance Users’ experience with EasyTithe and such affiliates, independent contractors and business partners. EasyTithe may also use information collected through our Web site for research regarding the effectiveness of the Web site and the marketing, advertising and sales efforts of EasyTithe, its trusted affiliates, independent contractors and business partners.

Disclosure of Information

EasyTithe may disclose information collected from Users to trusted affiliates, independent contractors and business partners who will use the information for the purposes outlined above. We may also disclose aggregate, anonymous data based on information collected from Users to investors and potential partners. Finally, we may transfer information collected from Users in connection with a sale of EasyTithe’s business.

Maintenance of Information

Information about Users that is maintained on our systems is protected using industry standard security measures. However, we cannot guarantee that the information submitted to, maintained on, or transmitted from our systems will be completely secure.

PCI DSS Compliance & Security

As required by the PCI Security Council and all processing banks, EasyTithe is a Level 1 Certified PCI Compliant Service Provider. This means EasyTithe conforms to the highest set of security standards in the payment card industry. Your account managers, end users, and EasyTithe employees will never have access to the type of sensitive information that might lead to an unauthorized transaction.

SSL Transaction Security

EasyTithe uses 256 Bit SSL technology for data transactions. All personal, credit card, & bank information is submitted using 256 bit encryption. There is no stronger form of protection than this encryption and by doing this, we eliminate the possibility that someone might “tap” the line and extract your personal data from it. 256-bit SSL encryption has never been broken and according to RSL Labs, it would take a “trillion-trillion years” to crack the code using today’s technology.

The Datacenter

Our datacenter upholds security measures to rigorous standards. Proximity card entry, camera-recorded server room access, and a perimeter security system all protect the datacenter facilities. These security components ensure only employed certified Server Engineers have direct access to the datacenter and individual servers. This restricted access ensures maximum security when maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting servers in the racks.

2.5. Information About Children

The Website is not intended for or targeted at children under 13, and we do not knowingly or intentionally collect information about children under 13. If you believe that we have collected information about a child under 13, please contact us at office@lcotc.org so that we may delete the information.

3. How We Use Information We Collect

3.1. Compliance with Our Privacy Policy

We use the information we collect only in compliance with this Privacy Policy.

3.2. We Never Sell or Share Personal Information

We will never sell or Share your Personal Information to any third party.

3.3. Use of Personal Information

In addition to the uses identified elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, we may use your Personal Information to: (a) improve your browsing experience by personalizing our websites, (b) send information to you which we think may be of interest to you by post, email, or other means; (C) provide our church council with blind statistical information about our users — but this information will not be used to identify any individual user.

3.4. Use of Navigational Information

We use Navigational Information to operate and improve our websites and social media sites. We may also use Navigational Information alone or in combination with Personal Information to provide you with personalized information about Lutheran Church of the Cross Ministries. You may set your Web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

3.5. Testimonials and Comments

We post testimonials and comments on our Websites, which may contain Personal Information. We obtain each customer’s consent via email prior to posting the customer’s name and testimonial.

3.6. Use of Credit Card Information

If you give us credit card information, we use it solely to check your financial qualifications and collect payment from you. We use a third-party service provider to manage credit card processing. This service provider is not permitted to store, retain, or use the information you provide except for the sole purpose of credit card processing on our behalf. We employ other companies and people to provide services to visitors to our Websites, our members and customers, and may need to share your information with them to provide information, products or services to you. Examples may include removing repetitive information from prospect lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, supplementing the information you provide us in order to provide you with better service, and providing service. In all cases where we share your information with such agents, we explicitly require the agent to acknowledge and adhere to our privacy and customer data handling policies.

3.8. Security of your Personal Information

We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We secure the Personal Information you provide on cloud servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When sensitive Personal Information (such as a credit card number and/or geo-location data) is collected on our websites and/or transmitted to another website, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

3.9. Social Media Features

Our Website includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button and Widgets, such as the Share This button or interactive mini-programs that run on our sites. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our sites, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Website. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these features. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy and other policies of the companies providing them.

Our Website provides links to other websites. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content or practices of these other websites. Our provision of such links does not constitute our endorsement of these other websites, their content,

their owners, or their practices. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these other websites, which are subject to any privacy and other policies they may have.

3.11. Public Forums

We offer publicly accessible message boards, blogs, and community forums. Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose any information through our public message boards, blogs, or forums, this information may be collected and used by others. We will correct or delete any information you have posted on the Website if you so request, as described in “Opting-Out and Unsubscribing.”

3.12. Retention of Personal Information

We retain Personal Information that you provide us as long as we consider it potentially useful in contacting you about our Church or Schools, and then we securely delete the information. We will delete this information from the servers at an earlier date if you so request, as described in “Opting-Out and Unsubscribing.”

3.13. Corporate Events

If we (or our assets) are acquired by another company, whether by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or otherwise, that company would receive all information gathered by LCOTC Ministries on the Website and social media sites.

3.14. Compelled Disclosure

We reserve the right to use or disclose your Personal Information if required by law or if we reasonably believe that use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a law, court order, or legal process.

4 Opting-Out and Unsubscribing

4.2. Anti-Spam Policy

We will not use emails to send unsolicited commercial email in violation of applicable laws, and requires the inclusion in every email sent using the Subscription Service of an “opt-out” mechanism and other required information. We require all of our ministries to agree to adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy at all times, and any violations of the Acceptable Use Policy by a customer can result in immediate suspension or termination of the Subscription Service.
