Jennie Gee-Storie

—My Favorite Bible Verse—

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

—Mark 10:14

Jennie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with minors in Early Childhood,
Language Arts, and Mathematics from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Although, she began and ended a thirty-year career at the United States Post Office, after retiring as a Michigan Postmaster in 2014, God finalized her lifelong dream in education during December 2015. As a Paraprofessional in a public
school, she assisted and instructed elementary students needing specialized or concentrated assistance for reading and math interventions. This experience has proven valuable in her teaching positions in the private schools as she taught third and fourth graders in a Catholic School in Michigan and writing interventions for second – eighth grades in California.

This is her first-year teaching at LCC Preschool, but her teaching career started years ago throughout
her children’s formative years, beginning with their Preschool – Kindergarten Sunday School classes, the Wednesday evening children’s programs for elementary classes, and Vacation Bible School. She was able to live out her passion for Jesus Christ and children by demonstrating Christ’s love through her work with Head Start and the Migrant Program in Southwest Michigan. Including her two-year involvement as a migrant foster
parent. These opportunities have provided her with valuable experiences with many preschoolers/children.

Although, her children and grandchildren reside in Michigan, she is eager to serve you and your
child(ren) and build a cohesive community in her classroom. Educational goals may be the same, however for many students, the path is not. For this reason, she is looking forward to working alongside other educators and parents to shepherd the children in her classroom.
